Deborah Konecny is an enthusiastic learner & believes that we can make great gains by practicing critical reflection on our personal & collective experiences. She is currently facilitating workshops & training for community organizations on a part time basis and teaching at George Brown College in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Deborah was the coordinator of the Families Are Important Resources (FAIR) project and invites you to check out the resources and video that was developed for that project. Inspiration can often be found in reviewing other people’s successes and challenges.
Deborah is a great fan of conversation. One of her goals is to have monthly conversations for people to come together to discuss topics about popular education and social justice. While completing her Masters at Ryerson, Deborah became deepened her interest in exploring how sustainable change happens. She is keen to discuss organizational change and the idea of creating professional learning communities (PLC). Deborah is eager to continue her growth in the Catalyst Centre’s learning community and hopes that learning includes you.
